He is a very well known  Chartered Accountant & been in practice since 1980. He is a Senior partner of the firm “R.S.Ahuja & Co.” Chartered Accountants which specializes in Taxation related matters, Audits, Co.
Law Board, Finance, Consultancy etc. He has been the Secretary  & Convener of the of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association New Delhi & is presently the Vice President of the ITAT Bar Association New Delhi. He is the Vice Chairman of Chamber of Tax Consultants Delhi Branch, a body of professional tax practioners with over 3000 members.
He has been convener of Tax Study group of the Northern India Regional Council of “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” & various other study circles & is involved in dissemination of knowledge through seminars.
He is the President of Defence Colony Gurudwara, New Delhi. He has actively participated in all the social welfare works organized & day to day affairs of the Gurudwara.
He is the President of the “Sarbat Da Bhala” Charitable Trust which provides medical facilities to all members of the society & treats almost 35000 to 40000 patients during the year. The Trust has been providing medical facilities in the following fields in addition to normal Physician:

(b) Gynaecology
(c) Ophthalmology
(d) Dental
(e) Physiotherapy
(f) ENT
(g) Homeopathy
He is the Secretary of Global Punjabi Society which is a Delhi based organization & present all over the globe which is a social & cultural organization.
He is a member finance committee of Delhi Golf Club for the past 3 years.
He has been twice the treasurer of the Defence Colony Club. Besides he is also a member of the Delhi Golf Club, Noida Golf Club, India Habitat Centre, Siri fort Sports Club etc.
