Suvir Misra is a well known Indian musician, vocalist, musicologist, and an expert in Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Surbahar, Sitar and Tabla. He is also the inventor of Misr Veena. Suvir Misra belongs to a family of musicians from Madhya Pradesh and started his journey into music at the age of 12. His efforts have brought back Karnatic Saraswathi Veena into the mainstream Hindustani classical music scene. He also developed a unique fingering style to play fast taans of Khayal on string instruments.
