Anād Sanmān 2006 — Historical Record
The Anād Sanmān 2006 was presented during Jashan 2006 to honour distinguished contribution to Gurbāṇī Saṅgīt and related musical service.
The honourees included Bhāī Avtar Singh Rāgī, Bhāī Gurcharan Singh Rāgī, and Bhāī Swaran Singh Rāgī.

Context
The 2006 Anād Sanmān recognised senior practitioners whose lives and work helped sustain, teach, document, and transmit the living musical heritage of the GurSikh world.
Bhāī Avtar Singh Rāgī and Bhāī Gurcharan Singh Rāgī were honoured for their seminal contribution to Gurbāṇī Saṅgīt, including their performance, teaching, oral inheritance, recordings, and published documentation.
Bhāī Swaran Singh Rāgī was honoured for his contribution as a tablā accompanist and musician associated with the performance and support of Gurbāṇī Kīrtan / Gurbāṇī Saṅgīt.

Honouring Bhāī Avtar Singh Rāgī and Bhāī Gurcharan Singh Rāgī
Bhāī Avtar Singh and Bhāī Gurcharan Singh are among those rare ones who, through their radiance, remind us of the vastness of which we are a part.
They travelled widely to carry the Gurū’s message of joy and serenity through sacred music flowing from their rich oral intangible heritage.
Steeped in tradition, they remained open to the needs of changing times and responded with a monumental collection of recordings and published documentation.
With artistic craftsmanship, unwavering stability, gracious humility, and selfless service, they lived as representatives of the Gurū’s darbār, leaving a legacy through which the treasures they cared for may remain available for generations of seekers to come.

Bhāī Swaran Singh Rāgī was honoured through the Anād Sanmān 2006 for his contribution as a tablā accompanist and musician in the field of Gurbāṇī Kīrtan / Gurbāṇī Saṅgīt.
