Outreach

Anād Conservatory offers intensive workshops, — in the fields of gurbāṇī kīrtan, dhrupad, tabla, and jori-pakhawaj as well as in the playing of string instruments, —  lectures, and demonstrations around the world. Specialisation includes the musical genres in vogue from the 12th till the 19th centuries such as dhurpad, chañt/chañd, vār, alāhuṇiā, ghōṛiā, lav, añjuliā, as well as playing and making of instruments such as the rabāb, sarindā, mridañg,  jori-pakhawaj, and tablā.

Since 1994, Bhai Baldeep Singh has traveled around the world to perform and teach. He has conducted numerous 9-day and 12-day Gurbāṇī Saṅgīt Intensive Retreats and workshops based on the traditional pedagogical process that he was blessed to revive (since 1987).

In March 2020, after the world shut down in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhai Baldeep Singh started online master classes for students worldwide. Since April 2020, 48 master classes each year have been offered with a few students taking charge of practice sessions on Saturday. These sessions are offered in vocals, percussion, and string instruments. For the logbook of online classes, click on the link below:
