Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań Poland

In the winter of 2019, Bhai Baldeep Singh appeared briefly in Poznań, Poland, where the Ethnomusicology department of the Adam Mickiewicz University, under the astute Dr. Łukasz Smoluch, was lucky enough to give students the chance for a unique set of interactions with the master; the 25.01.2019 saw a lecture where Gurbani Sangita was introduced to a full auditorium, followed by a short Q&A from Musicology students. The following day, students were able to attend an all-day workshop, where they were able to explore concepts of nād, rāg, and tāl with the maestro. A hugely successful string of events, put together by the Anad Foundation, Our ‘PL’ace Foundation, and the Adam Mickiewicz University.
