Retreat 48th: New Delhi

January 24 – February 4, 2022

The 48th bi-annual Gurbāṇī Saṅgīta Intensive Retreat was hosted by Bhai Baldeep Singh from his New Delhi residence. Over our twelve days together, students at all levels had an opportunity to work on voice culture, learn new repertoire, and attend exegetically to the Bāṇī. The focus of this course was on the Sabad “Mū Lallan Siou Prīti Banī,” sung in tāla-s ranging from 8 to 21 mātrē, even singing multiple compositions in the same rāga, tāla, and laya.

Begin making arrangements to join the upcoming intensive retreat this July as we continue celebrating the riches of the paramparā, and to mark 25 years!
