Management and financial expert; former Director / Chief Executive, India Habitat Centre; Founder Trustee
Raj M. S. Liberhan was named among the Founder Trustees of The Anad Foundation at the time of its establishment in 2008.
He is a management and financial expert with extensive senior-level experience across government, public-sector, and non-governmental institutional environments. After serving for around three decades in the Government of India’s financial services, he moved to the non-governmental sector and served as Director / Chief Executive of the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
At the India Habitat Centre, he helped guide one of New Delhi’s important institutional spaces for cultural, civic, intellectual, environmental, and public conversations. His work has involved building and sustaining institutions, programmes, missions, and platforms with public-interest objectives.
He has also been associated with the Centre for Science and Environment, where he is listed as Chairperson of the Board.
Mr. Liberhan’s association with The Anad Foundation reflects the importance of institutional management, financial understanding, public culture, civic platforms, and long-term governance capacity in the stewardship of cultural and heritage organisations.
